The Birdcage night club closes suddenly after 13 years
The venue was renowned for its cabaret nights, which featured flamboyant drag acts, showgirls and male dancers.
Despite undergoing a £400k refurbishment just two years ago, without warning the club confirmed on the 9 May that it had taken its final bow.
No explanation has been given as to why the hen-party hangout has closed its doors but refunds are being offered to all those who have pre-purchased tickets to events.
